1. Red Tiger Oscar or the Water Dog

Beautiful in appearance and worth the fun "Oscar fish" is well know as a fish that follows its masters command. Striking colours and patterns bring a vivid experience of having this fish as a pet. Even though this fish is very easy to keep, it does not need a lot of secondary equipment in your aquarium system. Basic Light to view its beauty, Good filter to maintain apt water parameters is more than enough. Fish food quantity and size of the pellet is all that you need to get regularly checked. As the fish grows large, change the pellet size. We at Make My Hobby sell different sizes of this fish. You can choose from a small sized fish to a large size fish based on your aquarium.

 

2. Albino Tiger Oscar

Albino Tiger Oscar is just like Red Tiger Oscar, Just missing the vibrant black and brown shades. This fish colour and pattern brings beautiful contrast to darker bottom substrate and darker background posters attached to Aquariums. They are easy to food train, very basic needs.

 

3. Discus Fish

Known is the aquarium world as king of fishes. Those who own Discus fish in their aquarium is considered as a master in art of aquarium fish hobby. This fish as a very distinctive body shape like a disk. Calm and peaceful, Discus fish is easy to keep when you have your water parameters in check. These are a good companion in a well planted Aquarium and also bring beauty to a bare aquarium with next to no decoration in it.

 

4. Bi-Coloured Peacock Cichlid

Bi-Coloured Peacock Cichlid are one of the most friendly and peaceful members of the Cichlids. With life span of roughly 8 years they are Omnivore fishes. Their coloring can vary from blues, reds to yellows and will stand out in any aquarium. The most popular of which being the blue (Aulonocara Nyassae). If you’ve seen other varieties of Cichlids, you will know that they are some of the most vivid colored freshwater fish in the fish keeping hobby. You will also notice than instead of a matt color, their color is in-fact iridescent. Interestingly their color is permanent, whereas other Cichlids’ color is dependent on their mood and breeding status.

 

5. Jaguar Cichlid

The Jaguar Cichlid is one of the most popular species belonging to the Cichlid family. Thanks to its distinct looks and fierce personality, these fish are a must-have for any aquarist looking for a challenge. These fish go by many different names. In addition to being called the Jaguar Cichlid, you might see them labeled as Managuense Cichlids or Aztec Cichlids. When they’re found in their natural habitat, locals often refer to them as Guapote Tigre.

 

6. Red Spotted Severum

The Red-spotted Gold Severum is a selectively bred colour form of the Green Severum.Their aquarium should be spacious, with a soft sand substrate and plenty of hiding places and visual barriers which can be created using driftwood, rocky caves, and robust planting such as Java Fern or Anubias sp. which can be tied to the decor. Red-spotted Gold Severums are fairly easy-going for a cichlid of this size, and as such can be kept alongside other fish of similar size and temperament. These are Omnivorous and will accept most aquarium foods offered. Try to keep it varied with good quality carnivore and herbivore flakes, sinking pellets/sticks, and a mixture of frozen foods such as white mosquito larvae, bloodworm, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, Mysis, krill, and chopped prawns, along with some fresh vegetable matter. they will avidly consume soft-leaved plants.

 

7. Powder Blue Cichlid

 

Powder Blue Cichlid is native to Lake Malawi. They love shallow aquariums with soft sand as substrate. Arrange piles of rockwork in such a way as to form lots of caves and hiding places, leaving some open areas for swimming.  The Powder Blue Cichlid feeds primarily on algae, plant matter and the micro crustaceans found living on the algae and plants they graze on. In the aquarium environment, hobbyists will want to feed this species a diet based on vegetable and plant matter in the form of a high quality vegetable based flake or pellet food along with naturally occurring algae growth within the aquarium.

Additionally, they should be provided with blanched spinach, nori or other similar foods from time to time. While they may also consume meaty or combination flake or pellet foods designed for omnivorous African Cichlid species, the bulk of their diet should come from vegetable based foods in order for them to maintain a healthy immune system.
